Qualifying & Prizes

Categories (6 in total): open and girls up to 14, 16, and 18 years.

Prizes: the best 3 (three) players in each category will be awarded trophies, medals, and gift prizes.

The winners of each individual championship shall obtain the following titles corresponding to their different age categories:

– World Youth Rapid Champion 14, 16 and 18
– World Youth Girls Rapid Champion 14, 16 and 18
– World Youth Blitz Champion 14, 16 and 18
– World Youth Girls Blitz Champion 14, 16 and 18

The final ranking order of the players is determined by the number of points scored. In case of tie, the next tie break criteria are established:

a) Direct Encounter;
b) Buchholz cut 1;
c) Buchholz;
d) Number of Games Played with Black (unplayed games count as played with white);
e) Number of Games Won
