Special Competition Rules
The FIDE Anti-Cheating guidelines shall apply. Upon arrival or any time during the event, captains or players may be requested to present passports for the verification of a player’s age eligibility. Random searches, with a hand-held metal detector, can be performed by arbiter(s), namely before or during the games.
APPEALS PROCEDURE
A protest against the decisions of the Chief Arbiter must be submitted in written form to the Chairman of the Appeals Committee within 15 minutes after the completion of the respective game. The protest must be accompanied by a deposit of 200 EUR. If the appeal is granted, the deposit shall be returned immediately. If the appeal is refused, the deposit is forfeited to FIDE. The appeal must be lodged by the player. The decisions of the Appeals Committee are final.
